McCoy Built - Privacy Policy

McCoy Built AI Solutions (mccoybuilt.com), Corpus Christi, Texas

Effective date: October 27, 2026

This policy explains how McCoy Built AI Solutions ("we", "us") handles information in our "postiz" app, which uses the Instagram API with Instagram Login. The app is used only to schedule and publish posts to Instagram professional accounts owned by McCoy Built through our self-hosted Postiz tool.

What we collect

When an Instagram account is connected through Instagram Login, we receive:

The Instagram account ID, username, and basic profile information (such as name and profile picture).
The access tokens Instagram grants for the permissions approved during login.
The content we choose to schedule or post (captions, images, and videos).

How we use it

We use this information only to schedule and publish content to the connected Instagram accounts, and to read basic insights and comments on those posts. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties. The only exception is Meta/Instagram, which receives the content and requests needed to publish posts through its API.

Storage and retention

Information is stored on a privately run server that we control. Access tokens are kept only until the account is disconnected, and are then deleted.

Deleting your data

You can remove your data at any time by:

Disconnecting the account in Postiz, or
Removing the app in Instagram under Settings > Apps and websites, or
Emailing josh@mccoybuilt.com to request deletion.

Deletion requests are completed within 30 days.

Children

This app is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this page with a new effective date.
